For the filling I used the new, improved rose petal jam that I made yesterday.

There is little to beat the elegant simplicity of a Victoria sponge. Yours looks perfect.

That looks so beautiful; such a happy start to my day with the flowers to look at too. I was about to write ‘I don’t know how you cut into it’… but then I don’t think I’ve ever managed to stop myself cutting into a cake. Hope it tasted as amazing as it looks.
